Six Shades of Pride

Pride is a rite of passage for every LBGT person. More than 50% of LGBT people will go to a pride event this summer. Through my gay years I have been to several gay pride events. I try to make it to at least one a year whether it is my local pride or someplace close by. I always feel it's important to show my support to the gay community. So what exactly is a gay pride? Pride is a positive stance against discrimination and violence towards the lesbian, gay, bisexual, and transgender people. We use the pride event to promote equality rights, increase our visibility as a group (that's why there's parades usually), build community, and to celebrate sexual diversity. The reason many pride events are held during the month of June (LGBT Pride Month declared by President Obama) is because it's to commemorate the Stonewall riots which occurred at the end of June in 1969. We use the month of June to recognize the impact the gay community has had on the world. Some pride events are held throughout the year. Different countries, states, and cities may celebrate pride during a different month but usually it's around the time where there was a turning point for that areas LGBT history.

So what does Pride mean to the homos? Well it's any excuse to practically be naked running around the streets wearing a flashy tutu, some leather harasses, covered in body paint and glitter! Yeah, we keep it classy. But it essentially is our day. Our day to be loud, proud and rowdy! There's strength in numbers and during a pride event you'll see just that. Any type of homosexual person and the people that support us come out of the woodwork. It can be rather moving especially when gay couples aren't afraid for once to hold hands and kiss in public. Showing simple public displays of affection that the straight community takes for granted. As Kevin would say, "They are so happy looking it makes me sick wahhh!" It's a day of unity and a day of positive energy. The LBGT community has come a long way. We still have a lot of work ahead of us, but the progress we have made over the years is a sure sign that one day everything will be different.

But before the dancing fairies (literally) and the "I enjoy a vagina" t-shirt wearing lesbians there was Kevin and I on our way to Philly. We left early Saturday afternoon. Jelissa was excited and told us we should come earlier than we had planned. Extra hours in the city are always appreciated. Kevin and I arrived in the city before 2 o'clock looking impeccably fresh. Well I did, he had a little tank top on while his armpit hair protruded out in all directions. I wanted to take an electronic trimmer and shave it down. At least he was freshly showered and smelled nice. By now we had the walk to Jelissa's apartment down pat and as we approached her door we heard club music blasting. At first we thought it was coming from her neighbor Blake's apartment but as Jelissa opened her door the sound came blaring out. Her apartment was like Studio 69. Jelissa and her boyfriend Bob had been cleaning the place for us. As I walked in I could hear the shower running in the bathroom. Bob was showering with the bathroom door open. You don't shower with the door open when you have two excited dirty mos in the house! I yelled in "Hey boo, let's see the twig and berries." Kevin peeked in as well and said, "Washing that boy taint for us, huh? Gotta keep it clean." "Let's reenact a prison movie! Bob drop the soap!" I screamed in. Sadly he shut the door while he toweled off. I wonder why?

After freshening up a little Kevin said, "I can't wait to spooge on someone this weekend." "What's spooge?" Jelissa asked very seriously. Kevin made a few classy hand gestures and some sounds to indicate. Jelissa laughed and said, "Oh my god! I love that word. It's fun! Bob do you know what spooge is?" Bob looked at her and said, "Jelis every guy knows what spooge is!" For the next two days Jelissa used the word "spooge" as much as she could and 95% of the time she used it the wrong way like; "let's spooge on out of here." She also asked random people if they knew what it was and said it randomly very loud like she was suffering from Tourettes. If we had a t-shirt that said "I love spooge" I'm pretty sure she would have wanted to wear it. I have never met a girl so excited about jizz before, but she is related to Kevin so that must explain it. Having discussed this with other girls I have come (pun intended) to the conclusion that spooge is indeed a guy's word! Let's spooge on shall we?

Our discussion of spooge left us hungry. We headed over to Frankford Hall; they had a block party going on outside with a DJ, some vendors and beer lots of beer. As we approached Frankford Hall's entrance the two large bouncers caught my eyes. I would have enjoyed watching them in gay porn or tag teaming me. Frankford Hall kind of looks like a normal sports bar when you first walk, but then you notice the huge courtyard outback where you can sit, eat and drink, play ping pong, air hockey and other random games. It looked like a college kids dream come true. Kevin looked around and said, "I'm in heaven! Look at all these yummy straight guys! AND BEER!" This was definitely his type of place. We had two gay fun filled days planned why not butch it up a little bit. On one side of the courtyard they had a bar where you get your beer and wine (they don't sell mixers or hard liquor) and on the other side they had a window where you order your food. Their menu was small but consisted of modern German flair mostly different kinds of Bratwursts (are we sure this place is straight?) and amazing sauerkraut that I couldn't get enough of! (Thank god Jelissa had Gas X) The atmosphere was very laid back and it was very crowded. Despite all the people though it had a "chill vibe." Everyone was either stuffing their faces with Bratwurst or knocking back some beer. The staff was very nice, the food was really good and I even enjoyed the beer and we all know I'm not a beer drinker. I would definitely go back there again!

Saturday night brought us to the usual Philly haunts. We bar hopped from Woodys to Tavern on Camac where we ran into Knockers and his crew briefly. Knock was getting ready to leave and he gave me the rest of his Grey Goose on the rocks. (I was already so many drinks in from the beer to the pregaming at Jelissa's, plus the drinks at Woodys before.) There's a telltale sign when I start to become overly intoxicated apparently I start to make demon like noises. Kevin said it's almost as if I'm possessed. All I do is make weird noises and you can't understand me. Jelissa and Kevin waited to see if my head was going to rotate around like something out of the Exorcist. I usually don't remember when this happens. It's like the blackout is just my way of clearing out my browsing history and after some glasses of water (if caught early) I'll be fine. It's like my body reboots itself. Kevin and Jelissa forced two big glasses of water into me and took the Grey Goose away and I went back to normal. We hopped back to Woody's (Jelissa's boyfriend Bob went back to apartment.) where we ran into this guy handing out reduced admission into Voyeur nightclub. I haven't been to Voyeur in years mainly because it's way over priced ($30 admission if you're not a member) and you usually need someone who is a member to buy drinks. It's an afterhour's club usually opened to only 3am when all the other clubs close at 2am. It's not usually worth going at least for me. Our coupons were for half off and the club was going to stay open till 8am. This time it seemed worth it.

Voyeur was very dark. It was actually darker than I had remembered. They do this to hide the unattractive. When the lights go on at the end of the night it's like Night of The Living Dead. Gay men do enjoy a brain in their mouths. There was a black drag queen on the stage dancing and lip-syncing her ass off. She was actually pretty good. She looked fierce and kind of mean, but then again I'm not sure how pleasant I'd be with my balls taped to my ass. Everyone seemed either really wasted or on something. After some really bad watered down vodka and clubs Jelissa, Kevin and I danced our asses off to sober up. There was this one dance room where they were playing 90's club hits. It reminded me of when I used to watch The Grind on MTV and jack off to Eric Nies. He was very hot back then. Jelissa and I went crazy dancing, while the DJ without even saying a word grabbed Kevin and starting making out with him. Kevin pushed him back, looked at him, and then grabbed the guy's suspenders, and made out with him some more until finally Kevin pushed him off and walked away. The guy wasn't even cute and I think Kevin may have realized it and that's why he pushed him off. Better late than never. Our night at Voyeur ended when Jelissa and Kevin were dancing on stage. Kevin jumped off the 3 foot high stage but somehow lost his balance, instead of landing on his feet he landed on his bony ass. Not every fairy has wings.

I awoke in the middle of night or early morning depending how you look at it. The sun had not risen yet but the sky was a light pink. Kevin was passed out next to me all sprawled eagle like with his button down shirt wide open. He was shivering and slightly snoring. They say the reason men snore while on their backs is because their balls fall in front of their assholes and create a sort of vapor lock I believe this to be true. Most men I share a bed with snore while on their backs. As I covered Kevin with a blanket he rolled over and the snoring stopped. Vapor lock open. We all woke up around 10am slightly hungover, slightly excited for the day. I had so much concealer on to hide the dark circles that it looked like Casper sharted on my face. As Kevin got his clothes together, I noticed his underwear and said, "OMG! I brought a t-shirt that would match that exactly!" Of course I made him try it on with his undies and as you can see from the picture below it matches perfectly. It kind of looks like he is wearing a onesie! Jelissa was laughing and saying, "Geez you guys are really best friends! That wasn't even planned!"

We were running a little late and missed the start of the Pride Parade (we needed some fried potatoes and coffee in our lives) but managed to catch up with it. The parade was kind of hard to miss, between the colorful signs, people and club music blasting out on almost every float. This is where glitter and unicorns are born. We sat down on a door step and watched some of the parade. I have to say I was moved a little. Every religion was represented in the parade and they were all there to support us! I am not religious at all (can't even remember the last time I was in church) but I am spiritual. I do believe in some sort of higher power or at least something. As all the religious groups proudly marched on some singing gospel music, I felt warm inside. Well it could have been just the 97 degree sticky humid weather, but I'd like to think it was more than that.

Of course what's a gay pride parade without banana hammock wearing homos dancing with wings on and covered in body paint? This is of course is expected. I have never been to a pride event where there wasn't oiled glittered up tightly toned twinks providing eye candy. I was once one of them back in the day.

As we followed the parade and the barely dressed, I watched the reactions of normal bystanders. The Asians were confused and slightly scared like Godzilla was going to take over and destroy the city. Like a typical stereotype they all had cameras hanging around their necks. The senior citizens home had let the elderly out to watch our spectacle. They all were smiling and happy like they had gas or thoroughly enjoyed their cocktail of medications. Their walkers lined up as if they were about to start their own parade. Jelissa laughed and said, "So yeah one of the few times the seniors actually get out of the building and they have to watch a bunch of naked homos dance in the street. Those poor old people." The normal people on the street didn't seem fazed by the parade it is the city after all. Most just stopped and stared and others were pissed off because it interrupted the traffic flow. Horns beeping and a few "fuck yous" were thrown in among the gay club music.

We followed the parade for blocks, but then headed back to Jelissa's apartment to freshen up and cool down. Mental note: It is never a good idea to wear a jockstrap and white shorts in extreme heat. My ass was so moist I didn't even need any lube. A cock would have slid right in no problem. But despite feeling as if someone spooged in my ass I was more afraid that my shorts would become see-thru and have that unattractive wet look. So while we headed back to the apartment, Bobby Bunny was having his own adventure on the other side of the city. This is what happened to him in his own words:

"Kile and I followed the parade all the way from the Gayborhood down to Penn's Landing where we met up with Julie. As we were walking, we were going slightly faster than the parade floats and so we got to watch the parade backwards. As we were walking past the floats I kept looking up at them and noticed how so many of the floats consisted of scantily clad boys/men throwing glitter covered in body paint. I knew these kinds of floats would be everywhere because that's what you expect to see at Pride events and then I began looking past the boys throwing glitter and actually looking at what the floats were representing. All of the floats were for gay bars and clubs in the Philly area and I wondered what the achievements of some of these establishments were? Maybe they donate money to gay causes? I don't know…all they seem to represent is drinks and almost naked men.

Don't get me wrong I think it's unbelievably great that there is such a wonderful Gayborhood in Philly and that we have a place where we can go and feel like being gay is the majority and "the norm" even if it is only for a few blocks. I just think that we as a community might want to work on a sense of pride for something other than how well we can party, drink and put ripped studs and toned twinks up on a pedestal purely for their bodies. I feel like we have that part covered by now so now let's work on something else. Once we got to Penn's Landing, the three of us went to an adorable little bar right near the entrance to the Pride Festival and sat down for some drinks. We were taken care of by an adorable gay bartender who chatted with us for quite a while and even gave us free drinks of some mysterious concoction that tasted great (I bet all of his concoctions taste great). It was funny though because even he was asking us if we saw if the Woodys float pass by yet. Obviously he wanted to run out there also just for a glimpse of the golden painted living statues thrusting their hips and waiving to the crowd.

It was slightly better once inside Penn's Landing because at least in there they had stands for actual clubs and sports teams which I think is really great. I wish my area had some of those types of groups to be honest, I think a gay soccer team or swim team or even volley ball team could be a pretty fun and a great way to socialize with one another (soberly). Anyway, after a while we were sweating like a blonde on a stuck elevator so we decided to leave Penn's Landing and head back to center city to go to some of bars. We went back to Woody's and Tavern and had a good time at both places (nothing like a glass of wine and the AC kicked all the way up to rejuvenate the gays).

Keeping on the topic of pride, as I was sipping (well let's be honest, slurping) my wine I was thinking about the how there is something else as a community that we can most certainly be proud of. When it comes to causes like gay rights or marriage equality or even anti bullying we rally against the opposing side and fight with a passion for what we think is right. That's something what many groups or demographics of people lack. That strong conviction to achieve what should be a natural and given right just to be treated as equals to our heterosexual counter parts. I am very proud to have a community who can get things done by fighting for what is right and how we can look back and think that what we were fighting for has put us on the right side of history.

My last thought on the topic of pride before heading out of Philly for the day, however, was a frustrating one. Just as I said we rally together against opposing groups who don't want to treat us equally, we are the complete opposite to one another inside our community. We will tear each other in half (and not in the good way) within the confines of our own community. It's so sad to see how unequal we treat one another, if we were all cookie cutter twinks or swim suit models I don't think this would be nearly the problem it is at this present time. There is a visually based food chain within our community and you are only as good as where you fall on that chain.

I wanted to share a brief story that happened to me 2 days ago and one I found to be particularly sad. I just bought my first home and I was talking to this guy for a few weeks on and off through Grindr. So over the weekend he sends me a message commenting on how close he was to my location. So in the spur of the moment I said to him when he was done with whatever he was doing if he wanted to stop over and see my house (since we had been talking for a while) he was welcome to do so, as I was pretty much in for the night. He did take me up on my offer and when he showed up I noticed that he had a very pronounced limp while walking up to my door and his body movements were slightly not as graceful as many people. I let him in and we sat on the couch and talked for about 2 hours or so. During this conversation I actually asked him if he had hurt his leg and he took a deep breath and said that actually he has a brain disease that prevents his legs from responding as fast as a normal person's legs needs to walk correctly. Then further into the conversation he said "you know I was surprised you even let me in after seeing me." I thought he was joking or being dramatic but then I came to find out he has actually had people ask to meet him, he drove to them, and when he was walking up to the door some of the guys literally just CLOSED THE DOOR IN HIS FACE! That is horrible to me and I felt so sad the rest of the night even after he left. We need to accept each other a little bit more and show some compassion for one another. The extreme lack of that in the gay community is definitely not something I can say I am proud of.

I would like to think that maybe someday evolution will take over and help our community lose more of this vapid, superficial mindset so many of us so easily let in to our everyday lives when dealing with each other but only time will tell if that will become a reality. I'm proud of who I am, not just a gay man, but as a person. I think if we all practice having just a little more compassion, empathy and humility and look into someone and not just at them we could greatly improve our community and develop an even greater sense of pride."

Kevin and I headed to the Pride Festival to meet up with Knockers and his crew. Jelissa and Bob stayed behind to pack. That week Bob was heading to Norway and Jelissa was going along. I told them to bring me back a hot hung Viking to pillage my ass. I was only half kidding. Penn's Landing was beyond crowded. Even with the 97 degree heat and blazing sun with little shade it was packed. We walked around a bit looking for Knock, but they couldn't take the heat and set up shop at Mad River bar down the street. As we walked around searching for the exit I noticed Penn's Landing became a maze of vendors, shirtless twinks in short shorts and fanny pack wearing lesbians. The camaraderie in air was refreshing. For once there didn't seem as if there were any judgments or criticism among our own community. As Bobby mentioned we are our worst enemies at time, tearing each other down. The festival didn't feel that way. Speeches were given on stage and people cheered and clapped together. After finally finding the exit (they seriously need to clearly mark that shit!) we needed to hydrate.

Mad River Bar turned gay for us. There was a male dancer gyrating on a pole in the back corner and the place was filled with all types of gay men. Knockers was standing among his friends Bottom 1 and Vinnie. Kevin and Bottom have been chatting through texts ever since their make out encounter on our birthday weekend back in April. They flirted a little and generally seemed happy to see one another. Things changed though when Bottom greeted just about everyone coming through the door. He knew almost everyone at the bar and Kevin couldn't help but feel with a nickname like "Bottom" it was clear he had been around the block a few times (or a dozen). Which is fine, to each their own, but I could tell it wasn't sitting well with Kevin. Knockers, Vinnie, Kevin and I left after having a few drinks and headed to El Vez for dinner, Blood Orange Margaritas and fun conversation.

After dinner we headed to Woodys for more pride celebration liquid refreshments. Knockers was sending naughty pictures of himself through Grindr. Teasing all the boys in a frantic manner and as I glanced at his phone (and grabbed his crotch) and saw the cock pictures I realized two things. 1. He is a down low ho and 2. He is a shower and a grower. We can't all be angels all time. At Woodys I realized something important. This is exactly where I wanted to be. I wanted to be surrounded by friends. Although I had a good time at pride I didn't need an event to tell me how proud I was of who I am as a gay man or where the gay community is heading. I have high hopes for us and will stay as optimistic as I can that someday soon EVERYONE will be treated as equals. Even in my search for love and my romantic side and cynical always at war with one another I still believe he is out there somewhere. This Philly trip not only brought me pride, but hope for the gay community's future and hope for my very own future.

Question: Is Monogamy A Bad Word?

Are we all relationship handicapped or are we just whores? Monogamy is a scary 8 letter word to some people. They treat it as if it's some type of STD that has been caught. Why is monogamy so elusive in today's gay society? We are fighting every day for equal rights and we are fighting for our right to marry, but what's the point if we aren't faithful to one another?

Monogamy isn't just a gay issue it's a people issue. The straight society between all the divorces and affairs, has a hard time grasping this monogamous concept. But it just seems as if gay relationships have a standard rule; thou can covet another's ass. Out of all the gay couples I know there's only a handful that are 100% monogamous. Why is this so accepting among gay men? Lack of blood to the brain due to increase stiffness in lower regions?? See, the problem is we were given a brain and a penis. There's only enough blood to run one at a time. Show us a hot guy and you can pretty much assume which one we will be thinking with. Most people stray or want open relationships because they're paying more attention to what they're missing, rather than what they already have.
Every relationship should have their own set of rules. What works for one couple may not work for another. To each their own, but can all the open relationships, playing around with another guy together, and hidden hook ups behind the K-mart really work? If you are so happy with your partner then why do you have to invite every Tom, Dick, and hairy Jose into your bedroom?
Question: Do you think monogamy will become extinct in the future? With all the gay marriages and now with more states getting onboard with gay marriage, will more gay couples be monogamous? What are your thoughts on monogamy? Click on the blue comment link below to leave a comment.

Results of poll: Are You In A Monogamous Relationship?

-19% said yes they are in a very happy monogamous relationship.
-9% said they are in a monogamous relationship but would be open to explore others sexually with their partners.
-61% said they are not in a monogamous relationship but hope someday that they will be.
-4% said that monogamy is not for them and that they feel it's something that the straight society wants us to conform too.

Maybe You Don't, But "I Do" By George

Gay marriage. I hear there’s a big political scuff over this, and the Republicans are practically pledging allegiance to eliminating us off the face of the Earth. It’s kinda funny, cuz former Vice President Dick Cheney’s daughter is a very out and about lesbian, and when asked his opinion after being out of the White House, he quite frankly had no problem with the idea of gays getting married.

I don’t follow any of the political stuff, because quite frankly after I listen to politicians speak (about anything), I just want to bang my head against a wall and get my passport renewed for a one-way trip to Canada (eh?). It completely baffles me why people put so much energy and money into oppressing the homosexuals.  Seriously, we just want the same rights as the breeders. Their lives won’t be inconvenienced any because we get married. In fact, their lives are being inconvenienced even more by them making a stink about it.  Give us what we want, and we’ll leave you alone, it’s that simple.  Let us get married, and you can go back to fucking the maid, everybody wins!!

The thing that really works my last nerve is these people who rattle off the Bible verses like it’s the alphabet. Blah blah blah man shall not lay with man blah blah blah.  Whatever happened to “love thy neighbor as thyself?” They just like to observe certain excerpts. I’m sure we could pull out a few excerpts that pertain to the breeders and the things that they shouldn’t do: pre-marital sex, cheating on one’s spouse, child abuse, making illegitimate babies, and so on and so forth. Bob Barker should give all the homos a new car for helping control the population, well….minus the few lesbians out there that decide to make babies. And since when, all of a sudden, is the Bible the way we run government? Don’t we base that on the Constitution? At least that’s what I learned in school. You love the Lord? Great! Some of us don’t, or not to the extent that you do or to the point that we exploit it and make it a key focus in our political campaign.

I certainly don’t believe that the entire country sides the same way as the politicians. Granted, there are some demographics that are a bit, how should I say, lop-sided leaning towards the “we hate gays” side.  It’s the 1% of the richest people in this nation that make all the decisions; it shouldn’t be whatever percentage it is that the gays can’t get married. I’m not partnered up or anything, but one day I would like to be, and would like to be able to see my partner in the hospital if he’s on his deathbed. Just imagine if the breeders were denied to see their life partner, just once, taking all the biblical and political and everything else that contributes, out of the equation. Just once be disallowed to see the one you sleep in the same bed with, just because somebody else says it shouldn’t be allowed. Bottom line: put the shoe on the other foot, and see how quickly one might change their mind for us gays who just want to be accepted in the rest of society.

OutFest In The Gayborhood

There's one thing that I think anyone can agree on whether you're gay, straight, bi, tri we ALL just want to be accepted. I find myself even now as an adult, still craving acceptance. I have this issue where I want everyone to like me and I'll go out of my way to try to get the approval. Since I wasn't accepted when I was a teenager I think I over compensate now. When it comes to friends I need to feel included and if I don't I overreact. The inner bitch comes out. (My head rotates full around and I speak in tongues. Ask Kevin he's seen it!)
So what was on my gay agenda last weekend?
-Spend time with family and friends.
-Get drunk and sweaty in a crowd of hot homos on the street.
-Be treated equally and feel accepted.
- Buy milk (Hey it does a body good).

OutFest or as I'd like to call it "Pride The Sequel" was the perfect place to cross off 3 of those things on my list. OutFest is a huge block party about coming out, accepting who you are and embracing your gay life. It's one of the few times where you can walk around the streets of Philadelphia with an alcoholic drink in hand without concealing it in a brown paper bag and flirt with hot shirtless banana hammock clad passerbyers! It's the biggest and most unusual block party you may ever wittness!

Bobby, Kile and I arrived Sunday afternoon (10/9) to find a sea of people everywhere! We entered the block party around 12th and Spruce where there was a dance area. Lady Gaga billowed out in full force from the giant speakers! I watched a very sweaty chiseled black guy dance in the middle of the crowd. He would have made my friend Sean's butt pucker if he was there.

Usually every community group has a booth, tent or some type of display at OutFest. There's vendors selling everything you can imagine and some vendors give out sample products and free giveaways! Call me a Jew, but I love free shit! I grabbed free condoms for Kevin. I figured he may need them someday. Bobby took the packet of lube I had because he "thought it was cute." I guess we know what he will be doing later.

OutFest even had a flea market. It's the perfect place if you're a drag queen and need some new clothes for costumes. Every bar and restaurant in the Gayborhood has some sort of event. There's usually some muscly oiled up hottie (Slip~N~Slides) standing outside to entice people to go into the bar. They put all your drinks in plastic cups so you can then leave the bar and walk around if you choose. Of course there's tons of food and drink booths along street, so forget your usual lunch of a TicTac and diet coke. Eat up and drink up! There were circus events. A very sexy man dangling from a rope (which made me wanna buy a sex swing) and a tightrope walker (which shows not only can he balance on your cock, but on other things as well).

The main stage at 13th and Locust hosted an array of entertainment. Drag queens, singers, dance performances, hot guys from 12th Street Gym working out and an old school "pulling rabbits out of hats" magician. Pennsylvania Attorney General candidate Patrick Murphy gave a very powerful speech on sexual orientation discrimination. Mayor Michael Nutter made an appearance around 2 pm to dedicate the second LGBT historic marker in the state to Giovanni's Room, the oldest LGBT bookstore in the country! Kile pointed out that the guy that designed our pride flag (Gilbert Baker) also made an appearance. I said, "So he is like the gay Betsy Ross?" Kile replied with, "Yes he is!" Bobby looking all puzzled said, "Who's Betsy Ross?" I swear hanging out with Kevin is rubbing off on him! There were penis shaped bagel eating, high heel racing, and pet show contests as well. The main stage had something for everyone and if all that stuff wasn't your thing it was fun just to people watch!

We bar hopped at iCandy, Tavern on Camac and Woody's. I hadn't been in Woody's since they redid it. The bar looks so much better and it's more spacious. They had country line dancing in the club room. We all wanted this tall drink of water that was dancing in a tank top. I was ready to "saddle up!" The one bartender at Woody's was so ripped and so perfect he could have done porn and I would have wanted to watch it!

The streets had various attractions and sights. There was a mechanical bull, we stopped to watch a guy try it. He held on pretty well. He must have been a bottom. iCandy had a tent full of underwear boys, that's one way to pitch a tent! A rotating orb thing was in the middle of street where I spotted a guy who rotated around in a circle for five minutes. I tried to convince Bobby to try it out. I wanted to take pictures of him in it, but he didn't go for it. There were drag queens and a cowboy with a fanny pack (I know right, that's sooooo lesbian of him) on stilts. We passed people dressed up in animal costumes. (Furries) They kinda looked like foxes or wolves and skipped through the crowd looking for a bone. There's this whole furry fetish obsession among certain people. I've heard of people dressing up in these costumes and taking on roles of animals and even having sex. I thought the costumes were really cute, but I didn't want to get fucked by one. If the Furries didn't do it for ya there were real animals to pet. Dogs, puppies, all kinds of pussy. Even poodles dyed every color of the pride flag.

A shirtless oiled-up guy roamed the Gayborhood with a sign that read "Kiss me, I'm gay!" There's no doubt in my mind he was going to need to invest in some Herpicil or at least some sort of anti-bacterial wash! That's probably why Walgreens was one of the sponsors. With all the people that kissed him that day maybe scientists could have gathered DNA and found out where herpes began.

Of course with all the positive energy flowing through the crowd of LGBT peeps and the people that love them, there has to be a few negative Nancy's. OutFest had several openly gay and allied priests, but there was a few religious protestors, as well. An anti-gay prayer circle was held at the Main Stage area trying to pray our sin away. Good luck with that! A middle-age man shouted Bible verses at people during the entire event! There was even a religious nut job proclaiming he was born again straight and Jesus can save us if we let him in. I bet he masturbated when he got home thinking about all the half naked guys that walked by him.
All the protesters had police standing by them. I assume it was to protect them from us, since we out numbered them. I am of course a believer in freedom of speech but you won't catch gay people protesting outside of churches or their religious events! We don't force our beliefs on anyone. All we want is to be treated equally like any other person. I can't stand being preached too especially when it's from a book that isn't even relevant anymore! Don't get me wrong I'm not anti religion. I think any positive religion is a good thing. I do consider myself more spiritual than religious though. I just can't stand close minded individuals. Just because it's different, doesn't make it wrong.

With way over 25,000 gay people and allies that attended OutFest it proves that there is hope in this world. There's still a lot of work ahead of the LGBT community, but 25,000 people that accept us and love us is a start. After all Philadelphia is the city of brotherly love, right?

I Now Pronounce You Fag Stag & Fag Hag...

...You may kiss the hag and make gaybies. Ok, well that's not exactly what Katie's Aunt said as she preformed the wedding ceremony, but I'm sure it was close. I was hoping for a sexually confused and frustrated priest to do the wedding. Perhaps the Bride and Groom thought bringing a priest in a room full of homos was a bad idea. I can just see it now: "Excuse me father for I have sinned. I know not what I do. Hey you look familiar! My Christiansingles.com username is ChoirBoi69. Are you HungPriest4u or FatherMybackdoor?" Yeah I'm going to hell. Blah, blah, blah I'll save you a seat. Bring sunblock.

I was invited to Katie and Matthew's wedding. I of course brought Kevin as my guest. He is always my wedding date for two reasons; 1. He is bound to do something stupid or funny and I need entertainment incase the wedding is boring. 2. He never lets my glassful of liquor get low. Kevin arrived at my house around 3 in afternoon on Saturday. He wasn't dressed or ready to go and smelt like vodka hardcore. All I could smell was his cologne and vodka. This must be what the cast of the Jersey Shore smells like. Kevin was out at a party the night before and it was obvious he had a late night. I suppose I should have expected his disheveled appearance because I did receive a drunk text message at 4:30am saying, "I got a vibrator!!!!!"

On our way to the joyous occasion I inquired about Kevin's buzz buzz adventures the night before. Kevin said him and Lynn were at a party at their straight married friends. It was a birthday party for their hot DILF (Daddy I'd to Fuck) friend. The wife was the one that brought out the vibrator and everyone was playing with it. (For some reason I picture the game "Hot Potato," but with a vibrator.) Kevin said, "It's not as bad as it sounds. Nothing went in my mouth or in my ass! Just alittle over the clothes vibes. Oh and I took it!" I looked at him laughing and said, "WHAT!? You stole the vibrator? You sick klepto!" He laughed, "Yeah, I even put fresh batteries in it this morning because we wore the fucker out last night. I realized this morning that she probably didn't wash it and I probably had vag juice all over my hands! Here smell." He puts his fingers in front my nose and mouth. "You are so disgusting! I can't believe you took it. I'm sure she didn't wash it with antibacterial soap or put it in the dishwasher before letting you guys play with it." I screamed! Kevin just laughed and said "Yeah, I'm probably gonna regift it and give it to you haha." AND scene!
Because of the rain the wedding and reception was held inside in one big room. It's shame it rained because the landscape of Willow Tree Grove was actually very pretty, but then again isn't rain on your wedding day suppose to be good luck?

It was pouring when we arrived and by the time we walked into the building I was wetter than a gay daddy at a Justin Beiber concert. The wedding was filled with gays and conveniently the majority of us were seated at tables 6 and 9. Unfortunately our table was also the table that Kevin's Ex and his Partner were sitting at and also Harold whom called Kevin a slut the weekend before. (HapPENIS) Yeah this is going to be interesting.

The thin paper number 9 was the only thing blocking Kevin's view of The Ex and his Partner. In an effort to distract himself Kevin turned to scoping out other guys. He liked the photographer a lot and said, "I'd totally L his Bs! He's so hot!" Hmm and we wonder why Harold called him a slut. The photographer of course was older with a nice body tone, bald and married! (Well he had a band on his finger so I assumed he was.) He was attractive but he did resemble The Ex a little too much. I swear Kevin is attracted to this type, like flies on shit. When I pointed out to Kevin that the guy was probably straight and married he said, "It doesn't count then." and licked his lips. Typical Kevin response.

The best man was my friend Allan and he's how Katie and Matthew got introduced. Katie is friends with Harold and Matthew is best friends with Allan so their paths were bound to cross eventually. To think the fags brought this union together. See we support straight marriages, why can't gays get the same in return? Just think who's gonna do your hair, make up and not to mention probably design the dress...The gays! Katie, the bride of course was beautiful and I would consider her a Fag Hag for sure. Matthew is a real Fag Stag he even loves our music and is comfortable in gay clubs.

I met Matthew about 9 or 10 years ago. I went with him and Allan to Texas to visit Allan's Dad Frank. Who just so happens to be gay as well. See the fruit really doesn't fall far from the tree. What I didn't know was the only reason I was invited was because Allan was trying to hook me up with his father! Allan's dad Frank of course is just as crude as Allan is. Like father, like son. Frank blatantly told me he wanted to fuck me but after I had made it clear I wasn't interested he backed off. To this day though when he is in town he still makes passes at me and asks me to move to Texas to live with him. I guess I made an impression. He even tried hooking me up with Allan a few times and calls me "son."

When we were in Texas we visited San Antonio and spent the day on The River Walk. It was like being in another country, very pretty. After a night out at some clubs Frank, Matthew and I went back to the hotel. Allan stayed out trolling for twinks. I slept in Matthew's bed because he didn't want Allan coming back all sloppy drunk and being touchy and I didn't want Frank to get any ideas. I remember Allan waking me up at 4 am trying to push me out of the bed because he didn't want to sleep in the same bed as his father. I didn't budge! The next morning I woke up with arms wrapped around me and something poking me in the back. Matthew was spooning with me and I could feel his morning wood! He woke up and was startled for a second like he forgot where he was. He apologized for "invading my space" and said he was used to sleeping and cuddling with his girlfriend who apparently has a petite body type like I do. We still joke about it now. In fact when I met Katie I told her Matthew was a good cuddler and I highly recommended him. Perhaps it was a good thing I didn't give the toast. "Yeah Matthew remember that time your boner was poking me in back and that time I motorboated Katie?"

The wedding was fun despite our sitting arrangements. It seemed like after eating everyone at our table dispersed. It also helped it was an open bar and trust me we took full advantage of that. Even the bride told us to drink more. Hey we had permission! The Ex's Partner was being especially nice to Kevin. Kevin asked me why and my opinion was because he knew he had won. Kevin looked at me and said, "What do you mean he won?" I said, "Well, The Ex didn't leave him for you. They are still together, so technically he did win." You know what they always say, "Keep your friends close, but you enemies closer."

All these weddings I've gone to really make me wanna have one of my own. I just need to find the groom. I did suggest to Kevin that perhaps him and I get married for all the presents. Could you just imagine my bridal registry? I swear gay weddings would help the economy! We love to party and we love shiny and over the top shit! If only everyone could see that.

Kevin said we could get married only if he could sleep with other guys. Hell, that's practically considered a real gay relationship anyways! I do really want that new toaster and coffee maker, but I'd rather have a monogamous relationship.Congratulations and best wishes to the happy couple.

I Love The Homosexuals!

Why do straight people love the gays so much? Maybe it's the fascination with gay culture, the fact that we are typically fun loving, we make straight people look better (stylists, designers, etc) and we are just plain awesome! Unless you are an inbred bible banger from West Virginia you're probably friends with at least one homo. (FYI Jesus loves us too see!)

It's more common now for a group of straight friends to have a 'token gay' among their group. We have replaced the little toy dog as an accessory and now everyone wants a sassy gay friend. Fair warning though if you're straight; don't have to many sassy gay friends in the same vicinity! We tend to go after each other like cannibals. One tries to out bitch the other. I've seen it happen. Like piranhas fighting over a bone. Lately I've been taking a break from the gay scene. You can only go to the same gay bars a few times before it gets really old. I like to mix it up a little once in awhile and hang out with a different crowd. In this case a 'straight crowd.' This way when I do finally go back to the gay bars I feel as refreshed as if I just had an anal douche. Good for the soul, good for your hole.

Kevin has a very diverse group of friends. Most of his friends consist of people he went to high school and college with. It's a mixture of mostly straight people (guys and girls) with a few maybe bi-curious and try anything once males. Because they've all known each other for years they are all pretty accepting of his sexuality and general lifestyle. It's cool to see this generation of 20 somethings be this open minded. When Kevin's group of friends has a party or something he usually invites me to join them. Usually I do say no cause I've always felt like I would be awkward, (Not only because they are straight but also because I am around 10 years older than they are.) but lately since I've needed a break from the mo's, I've taken him up on the offers. I'll be honest now and say I have had a pretty good time with Kevin's peeps. I haven't felt awkward at all. Maybe it's the fact I look young and can blend in with them or perhaps it's the fact I can out drink the straight boys and party with them. (I certainly feel my age the next day!) Well either way, the few times I've been out with Kevin and his mostly straight crowd I've enjoyed myself.

I think some his gay friends consider us entertainment. One of the straight cuties dropped his straw on the ground. He bent down, picked it up, blew the grass off the end of it and placed it back in his cup. Without even missing a beat I said "Hunny I do that too. I always blow it off and put it back in." Him and his buddies were cracking up and said I should do standup. They were instantly comfortable with me and continued to chat with me off and on all night. When I asked how I liked margarita made by the host I said, "I like em like I like my men, strong and thick." He smiled at me and said, "Well I'm thick." And another hottie who was kinda shy with me but after some drinks he then began to tell him that he loved his gay uncle and thought "gay guys were cool." This was followed by grabbing my arm and touching my stomach. Below is a picture of him passed out.

I could have sucked on those nipples for days. I so wanted to motorboat his bubble butt. He was an all you can eat buffet of hotness. The girls didn't like him to much because he began to get cocky with them. A couple guys actually questioned our sexuality. They said Kevin and I couldn't be gay because we were all over the girls. I think I proved my gayness when I said, "You wanna see how gay I really am, come here and I'll show you." That comment sent them packing and not in the sense I hoped for.

If you are a straight individual chances are you fall into one of the categories below:
•Fag Hag- Mostly everyone has heard of the term 'Fag Hag' and if you haven't then you need to get out of that cave you are living in! A Fag Hag is obviously a gay slang referring to woman who enjoys the company of gay or bisexual men. She associates herself mostly or exclusively with gay and bisexual men and most of her close friends are gay and bisexual. Usually a Fag Hag is a heterosexual woman who is the best friend of a gay man. Some women hate being called a "Fag Hag" and view it as an insult while others embrace the title with their rainbow flag in hand.

Fag Hags are generally stereotyped as outgoing fun women. (Like my bubbly girls Lindsay, Bethany, Krissy and Kate) Sometimes they are seeking a substitute for a heterosexual relationship and perhaps are secretly (or openly) sexually attracted to gay men. After all most gay men are pretty and well put together. Some Fag Hags are gay men magnets, like Bethany. They are attracted to her like moths to a flame. Science has shown straight woman and gay man have similar brain waves and often experience similar emotions, that is probably why we get along so well. They've put up with men's bullshit and so have we. Let the bonding begin! Women whom identify themselves as Fag Hags and whom already are in a romantic relationship with straight men, may prefer the gay culture to the straight counterpart.
A rich rewarding relationship can flourish between a Fag and his Hag. It's a relationship without sexual tension, that allows the participants to separate intimacy and sexuality. It can also cause harm if the relationship becomes too codependent. Both parties involved can use each other as a substitute for an actual partner. This usually ends badly when one of the two finds a partner that can fulfill their needs both mentally and physically. I've even witnessed it where the Fag Hag's boyfriend or husband was actually jealous of her gay friend and the connection they shared.

Almost all my gay friends have at least one Fag Hag. (or multiple ones) I for example have more than one, but I enjoy each ones company for a different reason. Jules is a long time friend and my long time Fag Hag. She has always supported everything I ever done and has always been there when I needed her. She's like an athletic supporter, never let's me down. Kevin has a similar relationship with Lynn and Bobby has a similar one with Tina. Only warning I may have is becareful when you have to many Fag Hags together. They Sometimes do get jealous of each other. It's like a bunch of girls fighting for the last piece of sausage. It can get ugly.

Other names for Fag Hags: Fruit Flies, Homo Honey, Fruit Loop Lover, Goldilocks, Flame Dame, Fairy Princess, Fairy Godmother, Queer Dears, and Sausage Sisters.

•Fag Stags- The male equivalent of Fag Hag is a Fag Stag. It's pretty much the same relationship as a Fag Hag. Sometimes though many Fag Stag relationships form because the straight man wants to go to gay bars with the gay man in order to "pick up" straight women. The gay bar scene is considered to be a safe haven for straight women, so usually their guard is down when approached by a Fag Stag. It also shows that perhaps since the Fag Stag is friends with the gays he too may be more sensitive. I actually have a good friend who is a Fag Stag and he is marrying a Fag Hag this summer. Their wedding is going to be a Gayapalooza!

Fag Stag can also mean a male gay icon or celebrity that is loved by the gay community who has gay friends or is associated with gay people. For example: Ben Affleck, Eric McCormack, Justin Timberlake, Colin Farrell, Matthew Broderick, Robbie Williams and Daniel Radcliffe who has stated he loves his gay fans and considers himself to be a Fag Hag or aka Fag Stag.
•Fruit Flies- People who associate with lesbian, gay and bisexual people may be called fruit flies regardless of their sex. Most cases it is a term used in place of "Fag Hag". Some women would prefer to be called "Fruit Fly" rather than "Fag Hag." I usually leave it up to them to come up with their own nicknames. A Fruit Fly though can be anyone that loves to hang out with gay people.

•Gay For Pay Guys- Please see the post 'Gay For Pay' for more information on this topic.

•Tri-guys- Younger guys usually early 20 something men that are bi-curious and will "try" anything at least once. Usually associated with frat guys and horny young guys. Sometimes they look at things at just a "hole." Typically they will pursue women but or if they can't get any will then go after gay men. They usually are very flirtatious and extremely open minded. Usually the Tri-guys are selfish lovers. Because they are primarily only interested in women they have no interest in a man's penis or if he gets off. Typically they will perform gay sex but it's only anal (where they are the top) and it's only oral. (where they receive, but don't give.) They may use the excuse "Dude, I was so wasted I don't know what even happened." BUT if you think about it they were sober enough to have and maintain an erection. A Tri-guy mostly is just a sexual relationship but can be a gateway to Bisexuality and Gay. After all Bi is just a slippery cock away from Homoheights.

•Closeted Men- Occasionally straight men that may be confused or closeted will hang out with gay man in order to get a better feel of the gay culture. They are accepting of gay people, but may feel people won't be accepting of them. For some closeted individuals the process of coming out is terrifying. (See post 'Come Out, Come Out Wherever You are') They like to hang out with gay people because it's almost like a look into their possible future life without admitting it to others and to themselves. A lot of times the Closeted Men will look up to the gay men. It becomes almost a mentoring type of relationship even though in most cases the gay man has no concrete proof the guy may be closeted. (We usually can tell though.) There may or may not be sexual attraction between a Closeted Man and his gay friend but occasionally there is a 'crush' that may form. The Closeted Man may develop feelings for his gay friend, hence the reason he hangs out with him and vice-versa.

•Dutch Boys- Are men who have many lesbian friends they can also be called; Lesbro, Dyke Tyke and in the UK Dikey Likey. These lesbian friendly men can be of any sexual orientation but typically are straight men. Straight men love lesbians or at least the fantasy of two hot girls going at it. Scissor anyone?
•Open Minded Individuals- OMI is our future. These peeps aren't Fag Hags, Fag Stags, or anything else. They don't really have gay friends and don't associate with gay people, but they still are open minded. They believe in equal rights regardless of sexual orientation and have no problems or issues with gay people whatsoever. This is how everyone should be and hopefully some day most of the population will feel this way.

Homophobia is becoming less prevalent. Efforts to confront violence and hostility towards sexual and gender minorities have been in place. Gay-straight alliance and other programs have lifted some of the stigma of having LGBT people as close friends. It's now cool to have gay friends. Gay is the way, we are trendy. Shower your homo with gifts to show you love him. I'll be waiting for mine in the mail. Gay people are like apples and straight people are like oranges, but what it all comes down to is that we are all fruit. Lesbian, gay, bi, transgendered and straight we are all human. Fuck hate!http://fckh8.com/

I Do

We said, "I do" and he leaned in and kissed me. There we were in front of all our family and friends declaring our love and devotion for one another. The sand was warm and in between my toes. The cool salty ocean air caressed my cheeks and the sun kissed my skin. Ocean waves played their own romantic music for us. The day was just beautiful and perfect. My best friends were of course by my side and I could hear my mom crying happy tears. As I looked up at my now husband I realized........The mother fucker didn't have a face! It's funny, I have the idea of how I want my wedding to be, (I always pictured a beach wedding with a causal elegant type setting. I'm not religious at all, more spiritual.) I only need one more thing. Just that one final ingredient, that very important part, you know THE GROOM!
Saturday I was invited to a wedding. I love weddings! I'm a big sucker for the whole romance thing. *insert a sigh here* I brought Kevin with me. He's a good wedding date. Never let's my glass get empty, he gets along with everyone and he is guaranteed to do something stupid. Kevin went to two other previous weddings with me and both of those involved the same families so he already knew some people. This wedding was for my friend's Dad and my other friend's Mom. I've known Jules for about 11 years now. I consider her family almost an extension of my own. I spent most of my early to mid 20's with her and her family. She is and always will be my ultimate fag hag. It's rare when you have a friend that you don't see very often, but when you do It's almost like nothing has happened or changed. That's how my friendship is with Jules. I think my favorite memory with her is when we watched gay porn together. "Lick that sweaty ass!" It was just hilarious! I remember us watching it with her sisters (Judy and Jillian) and when her Dad came home we turned it off quickly. I consider Jules's Dad practically my dad. (I even call him The Dad.) For the longest time he was the only positive male role model I had and in a lot of ways he still is that role model for me. I'm like the redheaded step child they never wanted, but got anyways!

So who is the blushing beautiful bride? ME! (Just kidding) O's Mom Delilah. O went to school with Jules and Judy and both families have known each other for awhile. (For a little background story on O see the post, The Intimacy Debate) I used to hang out with O a lot back in the day (He was almost like my Kevin before I had a Kevin.) There was many drunken nights with O that we sung Celine Dion songs at the top of our lungs. I'm also even good friends with his sister Natalie. Ever since I ripped Natalie's skirt and her ass was hanging out and she broke my designer sunglasses. It was a trampoline incident that got out of hand. It's funny how everyone is kind of connected. The joining of one dysfunctional family to another dysfunctional family. It's gayer than The Brady Bunch!
The wedding was beautiful. Dad was the most handsomeness groom ever and Delilah was so beautiful in her dress. She later told me that O wanted to borrow it when she was done. I can so see a "Like A Virgin" Madonna drag number. You could see how happy they were. (Awe breeder love!) The reception was more funner! (yes I said funner!) Hello open bar! I lost count how many drinks I had. (I know I'm a lush.) Kevin and I sat at table 13 with Sven and Kimberly. They've both been long time family friends like myself. Sven played Dr. Phil with Kevin for a little bit. He was trying to get to the root of Kevin's skanky behavior and why he does what he does or whom for that matter. It was gonna take longer than an hour session though. (Kevin has about as much self control as Lindsay Lohan's nostrils!) It's gonna take Sven time to chip through those slutty crusty layers. I've know Sven for years. He's a sweetheart and a cutie. Perhaps if I would have been drunker or sluttier he would have gotten a Handy-J under the table. Kevin was telling people he wanted to take Sven in the bathroom for a quick bang. I think Jules really summed it up nicely when she came over and said to Kevin, "You dirty slut!"
Towards the end of the reception the groom had his tie around his head like a bandana, Muffin (O's boyfriend) was doing some serious dirty dancing with older women, (it was practically straight porn, they could have conceived babies!) Kevin and I were touching Joshua and his boyfriend (Big Daddy D) inappropriately (it was just a trouser handshake) and Natalie was covered in blue window marker asking me what was all over her, while she was the only one who was using it. (She looked like a Smurf)
After some more partying at the hotel, some laughs and inappropriate talk with O's Aunt and Uncle, Kevin and I went to the Stonewall. (Yeah cause apparently we hadn't had enough to drink!) Craziness ensued at the Stonewall; A lady was buying Kevin and I drinks, she lost her husband downstairs somewhere. (Um he was dancing in a sea of fairies so yeah that looks promising.) Kevin had the karma forces strike him down again when Hick kicked the chair out from under him and he fell on the ground. I guess we weren't paying enough attention to him and he got mad, either that or Kevin just lost his balance I didn't actually see Hick do it. BUT Hick did have this smirk on his face after Kevin fell. Hmmm suspicious! Some good news; Andy and Brett were there and everything is now really official between them. For the first time ever Andy changed his relationship status on Facebook to 'In A Relationship.' Maybe someday they'll get married who knows or Andy will realize his undying passionate love for me, you whatever comes first!

The next day I woke up with the hangover from hell. I started to think about how my wedding would be and if I ever did or even could get married. I was engaged once (Fucker gave me a ring that turned my finger green that should have been an indication of how things were gonna turn out!) so I assume maybe in the future I'll get engaged again if I meet the right guy. I wanna do things the old fashioned way; meet a guy, fall in love, get married, make babies or at least try. I guess we'll see.

In a country that values freedom it certainly feels that there is a lack of it. I find it odd that here in the United States Of America more states would let you marry your own cousin than let gay people get hitched. Why is it more accepting for the cross eyed, inbred hick freaks to get married? This country boosts about equal rights for all, but it won't give me the right that's most important and that is let me love who I love. I can only hope that when I actually meet someone and I want to spend my life with them, that things are better. There's millions of gay couples ready to get married now, I feel bad for them this whole thing is ridiculous. I know a few couples that would get married now if things were different. Conservatives fight that marriage is between a man and woman, I'm sorry sister Christian but you make a mockery out of it every time there's a divorce, a marriage that only lasts 24 hours, and the people that get married more often than they change their underwear. This is what I have to say to you:
Many states in the United States voted to outlaw gay marriage, (bunch of bigoted assholes!) there are many places in the world where gays and lesbians can get married or obtain civil unions. Remember just because you can get married in other countries doesn't mean the U.S. state in which you live in here will recognize it. The same goes for state to state not all laws and rights are carried over from each one. Please check with your state laws before you proceed.
